This is a practical hands-on 34-week programme created in close consultation with leading industry experts and practitioners to help you level up your expertise to surface untapped insight and create new value, more efficiency and better outcomes.
You will:
Learn about IoT devices and how to layer up with machine learning, automation and artificial intelligence to deliver faster, more streamlined products or business processes
Know how to apply a strategic lens on data strategy and insight to identify potential gains and opportunities for better experiences and outcomes
Develop an ability to create the right processes, ethical frameworks and governance models to support sustainable IoT systems
Gain connection into an industry of innovators, practitioners and entrepreneurs who are moving us into the fourth industrial revolution

Pathways to The Master of Technological Futures
This postgraduate certificate is a pathway to the Master of Technological Futures – 45 of the credits you earn on this programme can be cross-credited to the Master’s programme. Watch below to find out how.
This programme is available to study part-time only and is delivered as a Blended Learning model with weekly live-online class sessions and six full-day workshops spaced over the course of the programme. See the Key Dates section below for more detail.

International students
With the current Covid-19 travel restrictions in place at the New Zealand border, this postgraduate certificate programme is only available to study as an international student if you are already in New Zealand. As the New Zealand government reviews and revises travel restrictions, it may be possible to apply for a Student Visa and travel to New Zealand to study this programme with us in the future.

We value industry and real-world experience as much as an academic record. You don’t need specific technical ability but you must demonstrate a willingness to learn.

To make sure you’ll gain what you want out of this programme, you’ll need to provide a Statement of Intent as part of the enrolment process. You can do this by letter or video.
Places are offered in order of enrolment. The programme is available to candidates who qualify as domestic students (NZ and Australian citizens and permanent residents) and international students who are currently residing in New Zealand. Please see the International Students page for specific information.
English Language Requirements
If English is not your first language, you will need to provide evidence of English language competence. This might be a formal test, academic qualification from an English speaking country or professional achievements in English. More details of the requirements these options need to meet are covered on the International Students page.
