The PG-Cert in Digital and Collaborative Learning is a blended learning programme and attendance at the first two block courses is a requirement of the learning and the regulations. It is not possible to complete the programme by distance learning alone (it is not approved for this mode of delivery by NZQA). In exceptional circumstances, where a student is prevented from attending a block course by unforeseen circumstances, it may be possible to provide alternative arrangements, subject to the circumstances and suitable evidence being provided.

Since the block sessions are a requirement of the course, you will need to apply for special circumstances, supported by suitable evidence, in order to continue your enrolment on the programme. If these are approved, individual arrangements will be made for you to complete the required work. Otherwise you may need to withdraw and re-enrol in a later intake to complete the block.
Because this programme focuses on contemporary research, we are always updating the content to be as relevant as possible. For this reason it is not always possible to outline specific topics for an upcoming intake, however, here are examples of topics we have covered on each course in the past:
If an unforeseen circumstance impairs the ability of a student from doing well on an assessment (including submitting an assessment on time and/or giving a presentation), students are able to apply for a Special Assessment Circumstance (SAC) with relevant evidence within 5 working day of the assessment item due date.
