The Tech Futures Lab team is genuinely passionate about learning, teaching and the future. We are a network of approachable, humble, supportive and open-minded people who look at the world from a different angle.
Graduating with a doctorate in geography from the University of Auckland, Hayley had visions of a traditional academic career but disrupted that by joining us to fulfill her passion for teaching, learning and research in our future-focused learning environment.
She helps with teaching, supervision, programme development and academic quality across Master’s programmes at both Tech Futures Lab and The Mind Lab.
Hayley’s geography training honed her skills in critical thinking, qualitative and quantitative research analysis and writing, which can be applied in a broad range of contexts. She is also well-versed in the art of teaching large and small groups, facilitating workshops, developing course content and creating e-learning projects.
Hayley’s PhD was put on the Dean of Graduate Studies List at the University of Auckland, and awarded the New Zealand Geographical Society Best Doctoral Thesis for 2018.
