Our teaching and learning

We take lead from Kaupapa Māori values – of collaboration (ako), support (manaaki), honesty (pono), and the right to self-determination or agency (rangatiratanga).

We don’t ‘teach’, we facilitate. Our learning approach is reciprocal – we encourage and foster knowledge exchange, robust conversation and strong positive relationships. You, the student, are the heart of all that we do. This philosophy is realised in our teaching and learning strategy ‘Te Ara Kotihi’ – the pathway to success. Learn more about our strategy.
