Tech Futures Lab Scholarships

Education should be accessible to anyone who chooses to put themselves forward to learn. A karahipi (scholarship) can be that one key needed to unlock opportunity for someone to shine.

We offer scholarships for those who identify as Māori or Pacific Island learners and for anyone aged over 60 years. It’s all part of our commitment to build equitable, impactful futures that are rich in diversity and serve all New Zealanders.

Before you apply for a scholarship, we recommend you check whether you’re entitled to the NZ Government’s Fees Free scheme.

Accessing our scholarships

Each of these scholarships cover 100% of the fees for one of our following programmes. Scholarships are awarded on a first in-first served basis to those who meet the criteria.

Scholarships can be applied to the following programmes:

How it works:

In 2022, we have a total Scholarship Fund available to be used on any of the programmes listed above, across any of the three scholarship types. But scholarships will only be available until that limit is met – so it pays to get in early and complete your application as soon as you can. As an example, you might not be able to join an intake until June 2022, but as long as you complete your enrolment application early and the limit of the fund has not yet been met, you can apply to receive a full fees scholarship for that June programme intake.

How to apply:

You can apply for a scholarship as part of your enrolment process, all you need to do is select the scholarship you are eligible for when it appears as part of your enrolment.

Within 5 days of submitting your application, we will be in touch to let you know the outcome of your application. You will then have 2 weeks to complete your programme enrolment to secure your scholarship funding.
