Through weekly live online sessions, you will gain practical skills and know-how from facilitators, software developers and project managers as they share their expertise and experience. This practical course encourages cross collaboration and teamwork to help you develop the skills needed to co-ordinate, engage and communicate with software development teams and business stakeholders.
Understanding Software Development Processes and Tools Micro-credential was developed by Dr David Parsons, an innovative educator and published academic. Dave brings 20+ years in software development to his role as lead facilitator and is joined by industry practitioners to round out this practical micro-credential.

This micro-credential programme is available to study as an international student either via online distance learning if you don’t live in New Zealand or if you currently reside in New Zealand and your visa conditions allow study. We value industry and real-world experience as much as an academic record. You don’t need specific technical ability but you must demonstrate a willingness to learn.
Places are offered in order of enrolment. The programme is available to candidates who qualify as domestic students (NZ and Australian citizens and permanent residents) and international students who are currently residing in New Zealand.
